I welcome students from the age of 5 through to adults, beginners and more experienced as well as those returning after a break.
Piano lessons may be taken at the studio, or I can arrange to come to your home during school hours. During any Covid-19 restrictions lessons will be available online with Zoom.
I have over 35 years’ experience in providing motivating piano lessons, in a friendly, nurturing atmosphere, proudly assisting students in reaching their potential and achieving impressive exam results.

What is covered in lessons:
While learning to play the Piano, your tuition will also include Aural Training, Sight Reading, Theory, Musicianship.
The style of music you will learn includes Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Folk, Blues, Country, Duets, Trios, Broadway and Contemporary.

While sitting for exams is not compulsory, it is an optional pathway once the basics have been learnt.  I will facilitate Trinity, ABRSM or AMEB, the latter being recognised for School Certificates at the higher grades.

GROUP THEORY CLASSES are held on one afternoon each month for one hour.

Pricing
My fee structure for 2020:
30 minute lesson    $38
45 minute lesson    $54
60 minute lesson    $70
Fees are payable in advance by the term.

I suggest a minimum of 45 minutes per lesson so that the various elements important to a well-rounded and pedagogically sound musical education can be adequately covered. Children under 7 years definitely learn much better with 30 minute lessons taken twice a week, and an involved parent to help them practise between lessons.

Adults at any level will require a minimum of 45 minutes per lesson.

Lessons may be paid for in cash or by direct deposit - no cheques please.
We also accept NSW Creative Kids vouchers.
Fees cover not just the time spent in a lesson, but all the preparation I put in to make each class customised to an individual student, as well as all the running costs, admin time, studio expenses, insurance, professional development …
